Buying chicks water at the football game.

So, I haven't got around to doing the Coldplay CD review yet. Some blog, eh? What do you expect, it's a blog. Fear not fearless reader, I'll get to it eventually. I did however, go to an amazing football game on Saturday. BYU was playing UCLA for the third time in a year. Last season the Cougars got beat early on by UCLA, but got their revenge in the Las Vegas bowl by blocking a would be game winning field goal in the end of the fourth quarter.
Having this in mind, I entered the stadium expecting a good game, but a little unsure if BYU could pull off a win. You can imagine how pleased I was when the Cougars scored a touchdown early in the first quarter and went on to make five more before the second quarter was over. With a shining countenance and a somewhat hoarse throat, I went to find myself a hot dog at half time. In my happiness, and remembering an assignment from Bro. Clarke, I decided to buy something for a complete stranger. Now, I didn't want to buy something for just some dude. I went looking for some attractive young woman whose day I could brighten with my wallet and winning smile. As I found the hot dog line, I found myself right behind two such young women. I gave them a gentle tap on the shoulders and asked if I could buy whatever they were getting. They were a bit confused, but did not object. I explained that I wasn't a weirdo, I just have an English teacher who is, and he assigned me to buy something for a stranger. So, we chatted a bit. I found out their names, majors, and hometowns. They said they were only going to get a couple bottles of water, but I, feeling like a gentleman, told them they could get whatever they wanted. They ended up getting just the waters and I got my hot dog. They thanked me, I felt good about myself, I wished them a good remainder of the game, and we parted ways.
During the second half the Cougars kept the Bruins scoreless and made another 17 points, making the final score: 59-0. All in all, a good day.

About the Author

To my teacher, Shayne and to my online stalker mom, let me deliver an enthusiastic electronic hello! To anyone else who is reading this I ask, who the heck are you? So, I have been compelled to create this blog in order to pass a class and thus graduate from college (I have a feeling that this'll be one of the assignments I eventually become grateful I was given). As I was pondering on what I had inside my head that was blogworthy (the minimum qualifications are astonishingly low, as I'm sure any occasional web surfer knows), I thought I might release some of my thoughts and opinions on music, as it is a subject for which I hold strong opinions.
As many young schoolboys were, I was forced into piano lessons by my loving mother at a young age. This started my love for music. Since then I've taken up the guitar and delved into the world of rock music. U2, Collective Soul, Boston, Coldplay, and Muse are a few of the groups that have changed my life. Now, I play guitar and piano in what could almost be called a band and am on my own lifelong quest to create audio euphoria.
Over the course of this semester (and beyond, should I choose to continue), I thought I'd give a review of a different album each week. Some new, some old, some favorites of mine, and some that I've only just picked up. So, tune in next week to hear about one of my favorite new albums Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends by Coldplay.
